Wed, November 14, 2007 - 5:56 AMmagic and divination are stricly forbiden in judaism and therefore in Qabbalah !
...and there are very good reasons for that especially when it comes to anything esoteric.
Whatch your step !
what do you expect from alchemy ? -

Re: Qabbalah and Alchemy
Thu, November 15, 2007 - 1:17 PMQabalah has nothing to do with Judaism. Kabbalah has it's origins in Judaism. Here's a run down for you:
Kabbalah: These are the secret, and deeply coded teachings, passed down from Jewish father to Jewish son orally, for thousands of years. Here, the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet are used to decrypt ancient scriptures: the Torah, the Zohar, and the Sefer Yetzirah.
Qabalah: For the first time in history, what had been secret Jewish knowledge, became available to all races and religions. Members from the Order of the Golden Dawn began a mystical renaissance in the early 1900's, when their knowledge of the Kabbalah, was offered in print, for the first time in history.
Tarot: Here each of the Kabbalistic elements are symbolically rendered on cards. By shuffling the cards, innumerable combinations produce an unending source of Kabbalistic insights. The Tarot consists of 40 cards, numbered 1 - 10 in 4 suits, based on the 10 Sephirah, each existing in Four Worlds. The 22 picture cards are based on the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. And finally, the 12 or 16 court cards were added to accommodate the psychology of astrology.
Cabalah: A plane English interpretation, based on the original, 10 x 4 archetype sets, taught as 40 archetypes, each with a specific technique. In a day and age where anything can be discussed openly, it is no longer necessary to learn Hebrew or spend years decoding cryptic scriptures to find practical benefit in your daily life. -

Re: Qabbalah and Alchemy
Mon, November 19, 2007 - 5:13 AMok Paul,
i agree the mesage is universal but requires an agreement on the perception of the Oneness of the Creator.Don't you agree ?
In other words , are magic and divination "kosher" for you ? -
-
Re: Qabbalah and Alchemy
Mon, November 19, 2007 - 8:14 AMOneness of the creator? Kosher you ask?
Christianity & Judaism are filled with dogma. In fact they're overflowing with dogma. There is a great secret wisdom in the Kabbalah but you will NOT find it in the Torah. There is absolutely no mention of Kabbalah in the Torah, and certainly no practical instructions. And the Zohar is but a novel, where the real wisdom lies hidden deep between the lines.
We live in a day and age where we can speak freely about sexual, magnetic, and light energy, which was not the case, ever, until just sixty years ago. That is why this great secret wisdom had to be coded and written in between the lines. Those who tell your path to understanding this wisdom lies in these ancient texts, only seek to subjugate you under their interpretation and tutelage. And they themselves may not even know.
On this path, be weary of anyone who directs you to cryptic writings or anything less than straight forward instructions. Learn from those that have traveled this path before you. You do not have to start at square one. Not in this day and age.
Many Christians say, those who do not accept Jesus, are bound for hell. Many Jews believe and act, as if they are the only chosen people. Many Moslem's believe that violence is acceptable against those who do not believe as they do. What do all these zealots have in common? They're all bigots, prejudiced and intolerant, believing they are inherently better and always right, because their God is the only true God. This is how their justify their violence.
I say to YOU, God is real-- but there is ONE God, known by many names, in many languages throughout the world. If you think your God is the only God, and the others are false Gods, you are not only a bigot, but you are teaching your children hatred, which they may act out for the rest of their lives.

Wed, November 21, 2007 - 9:33 AMIn other words , are magic and divination "kosher" for you ?
~~~~~~~~~
I wouldn't know how to operate in this modern world without magic(k) & divination ~ these practices have become so common place that they barely cause any eyebrows to be raised anymore....
can you read & write? these were considered magic(k)al skills that moved 'ordinary focus' away from the practical world in front of human eyes to the abstract realm of concepts, imagination & folly
do you wear glasses/contacts? have you ever used a microscope and/or telescope? do you entertain yourself with images projected on a screen? look in mirrors? any type of lens that allows for sight into areas unseen with the naked eye was evidence enough of witchcraft & involvement with magic(k) in the past
have you ever had a blood test? diagnostics (especially if statistics or other mathematical operations are involved) are a form of divination of future possibilities based on the reading & interpretation of present indicators
do you watch weather reports? mapping of probability fields is classic divination
love all-ways,
Re: Qabbalah and Alchemy
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 8:30 AM
I have always purposed an alternate approach
when dealing with these energies and for every
action there is an equal and opposite reaction:
Cause and effect according to the laws of
polarity. But there really is no secret. What is
the truth the light and the Way? What is
enlightenment, illumination and the resultant
liberation of freedom implied? For lack of
a better term there are those who might call
this the Tao. Which no doubt remains open
for interputation. But for every translation
there is yet another individualistic agenda
implied as in, for instance, the Tao Teh Ching.
So continually lines are drawn to fit the
prevailing winds. Those things which
are alike grow to resemble the imprecations
ascribed and so we - all of us - tend to
argree with what makes most sense for
us along the rigid ways of some particular
attainment.
The truth about alchemy? All one need do
is to follow the links here among associated
tribes to easily discern what the word means
in western magical terms. Some great and
hidden knowledge that will lead one to this
ultimate awakening, turning lead into gold.
And yet there is this talk of inqesting actual
metals for health and longevity, i say to each
his own - whatever makes you happy.
Here are few notes on spiritual alchemy from
a purely Taoist perspective:
"If one can accord with the time, then the promotion of strength
can be correct, and the use of intelligence can be appropriate:
The firing process does not go wrong, the measure of the
elements is regulated, haste and relaxation are in order, advance
and withdrawal accord with the appropriate time and measure;
reaching effortless by way of effort, there is no problem of losing
what has been gained."
I Ching
Now the imprecations are clear those of us who have ears to hear
will see the truth of it... "When one acts in accord with the time,
the yang energy is expansive, like thunder going out of the earth
and rising forcefully into the sky, startling an area of a hundred
miles with its rumble, so that all demons flee. The life-giving
potential continues increasing, and the earth is always covered
with yellow sprouts, the world blooms with golden flowers.
Wherever one may walk, everywhere is the Tao. No happiness
is more delightful than this." Unfortunately few are they who
are interested in this truthful practice in spirit.
The I Ching was never intended as a tool for devination but as
a tool for teaching this balance of earthly and celestial harmony.
It is by this firing process that we are givien the means of
insight into self mastery.
"Practioners of the Tao should carefully develope
immense energy, and combine duty with right action,
so that they may attain to perfect truthfulness
without error."
The Taoist I-Ching
Quite some time has passed since this project
first began and with each passing day we draw
closer to the remote by the near at hand...
Who we are through this process of awakening
'none but the wise can say ' - Rise up then, like
the movement of thunder irrepressible from
beneath the earthly to activate the energy of will
with firmness and efficacy to act decisively at
this moment of emergence upon the path of
harmonious action producing happiness...
"Innate knowledge is rooted in heaven, and belongs to the order
of life; innate capacity is rooted in earth, and belongs to to nature."
"Upon mixture with temporal conditioning, innate knowledge and
turns into artificial knowledge, innate capacity turns into artifcial
capacity; the earthly and the celestial out of harmony, firmness
and flexibility are out of balance, so nature becomes deranged
and life is destabilized, losing the natural endowment of simplicity
and readiness of heaven and earth, losing the innate goodness of
knowledge and capacity."
"Modification to simplicity and readiness means that knowledge
and capacity are in their innate condition of innocence."
When this happens there is no question of right and wrong,
before or after, past or future because all is contained within
the present moment.
Illumination is not some fanciful illusion of someday tomorrow.
"The practice of virtue is the study of body and mind, nature and life.
It is a very refined and subtle science, in which the slightest deviation
can produce an enormous loss. It can be accomplished only by
constancy and consistancy, thoroughly investigationg its principles,
fulfilling nature and arriving at the meaning of life."
"What does light illumine? It simply illumines the inherent quality
of open awareness without obscurity."
True enlightenment is continuing light that illumines not only
the inward but extends outward to reach the four quaters.
The True Eternal Tao
"Whenever I see those whom the vulgar call devotees of the Tao,
I find that all of them seek to be taken in by spirits and immor-
tals, or they seek lasting life and preservation of wealth by the
practice of material alchemy or sexual yoga. When it comes to the
great Tao of true eternity, pure and open, tranquile and dispassionate,
there are few who are interested in it."
Twofold mind
"The mind of man is twofold; in one way it is true, in one
way it is false. So to look for the true mind, don't give rise
to arbitrary thoughts - then there is the true mind.
"The true mind is broad and luminous; where the true
mind abides is peace and freedom. When you manage
your affairs withthe true mind, everything is integrated;
when you seek the Tao with the true mind, myraid differ-
ences are of the same root.
"But if people want to use the true mind to deal with
affairs, they need to foster it so that it is strong, and to
keep it calm and uncluttered. Then it can work without
wearness, and be responsive even while tranquil.
"The teaching of spiritual alchemy says that when the
mind runs off one should gather it in; having gathered
it in, then let go of it. After action, seek rest; finding rest,
one develops enlightenment. Who says one cannot
find tranquility in the midst of clamor and activity?"
Re: Qabbalah and Alchemy
Tue, April 1, 2008 - 4:27 AMWonderful thread –joyfully read:)) Thank you.
The essence of Alchemy, for me is simply living with/of the Source.
(Source is God in my translation).
It is good to remembered relatively old books…
(just did that,what a synchronicity!)
"In the Universe there is unmeasurable and indescribable force, which those who live of the Source call Intention;
And that absolutely everything that exists in entire Cosmos,
is attached to Intend by a connecting link.
Sorcerers are not only concerned with understanding and explaining that connecting link, but they are especially concerned with cleansing it- of the numbing effects brought about by all of the concerns of living at ordinary levels of consciousness." – Carlos Castaneda
Cleanse. And remember to cleanse. Cleanse again.
You don’t need to watch your steps - for each step you are creating along the way- right there before the path.
Cleanse.
In this way …
One shall walk fearless & free.
One is TRUE Self when = walking fearless and free.
Missed you all,
Love&hugs&shine!
Re: Qabbalah and Alchemy
Sat, June 28, 2008 - 11:34 AMAbsolutely correct reply. If I may take it a bit further, Kabbalah is a cosmology that compliments the other mystical cosmologies, especially astrology and alchemy. The further one delves into the field, the more intricately interlinked Kabbalah reveals itself to be with both astrology and alchemy, when considered from a cosmological point of view.
