Re: astral travel
Mon, March 12, 2007 - 9:05 AMLucid Dreaming, Astral Travel, and Walking Through the Light are my highest aspirations. It is only through these experiences that the cycle of reincarnation is clearly evident. This is when you see in full waking consciousness, but know you are dreaming. Is like being at sea. The more time you spend there, the more comfortable you are in that foreign environment. If you spend a lot of time at the lucid astral level, you can fly and do all sorts of fun things.
I'm older than most of you. When I was young and first learning to fly I used to flap my arms as it they were wings. When I realized I didn't need to do that, I kept on flying above the tree tops. For some reason whenever I flew above the trees or buildings, I'd wake up. It was like falling upwards. As I'd flew upward my speed would continually increase exponentially until I awoke. Maybe a decade later I figured out that because the light body always follows consciousness in the lucid astral world, all I needed was a point of reference to ground me and slow me down. At first I practiced with street lamps. I'd look down the block and fix my attention to a light, building, or tree top. As I flew toward that object I focused on keeping a steady speed. Then in rapid succession, as I approached one object I'd pick another distant object and continue flying toward it, then to another, and another. This can be quite exhilarating.
Then there's another kind of lucid astral experience I've had throughout my life. It's very much like the neighborhood walks in that I know that I'm dreaming but now I'm in some far off place, living a very different life. These experiences happen nightly for a week or so. While I'm there I have no thought of flying or doing anything silly. I seem to be among a group of people. Each time as I return, whether it be the following night or years later, the people are the same and the building and landscape is always the same. The feeling I have there, is always one of great respect and responsibility. As a gracious guest I do my best to complete the task before me. All the people around me, as familiar as family, also are acting as if they too are gracious guests. It's quite pleasant. One more interesting aspects to these lucid astral family visits, is that the following day, as I do my normal waking activities, I can still feel and in a manner communicate with those other people I meet in my nighttime visits to that far off place. But always, what I remember most, is the landscape. So anyway I'm visiting this place for two decades and suddenly I see it in the movie, What Dream May Come with Robin Williams. Wow!
What's so very unusual and particular to this area is the steep rise of a mountain, in such a way that the terrain, all the way up is populated. It looks like a whole town built on the side of a mountain. I think the reason I am attracted to this place is because this particular local environment would make the point to point kind of lucid astral travel, I mentioned first, the most fun. This place may be like a resort town for lucid astral travelers.
I've also visited other places without consciously knowing why. I remember once for many years, I was stuck inside of this house, all alone. Every time I went back to that house, it was always the same. The same rooms, the same halls, the dim lit windows, and all those boxes of stored items. It was always dark and it was always a maze. Eventually I figured out how to get out of there. It was never frightening... it was a comfortable challenge. There are others, but these the two that stand out in my mind the most.
In my most recent episodes just a few weeks back, I've been experimenting with walking through walls. This is a very odd feeling and I can't imagine ever getting to like it, but when you're dreaming... it can be done. -

Re: astral travel
Sat, March 17, 2007 - 9:26 PMO, this is my favorite subject! Just adding few more techniques….
I believe, the key for Spiritual growth in any matter, is –having a childlike mind. Not your hart, or soul, but mind-like a child: so you can accept and allow all the things from your hart & soul. “Clearing” the mind can be very tricky; it IS hard, but possible!
In Astral level (and any other)- everything is about perception.
So, what one wants to do – is expanding ones perception.
When you are alone at night, maybe, just getting to sleep-imagine you hear some noise from a far…What do you do? You “turn ON” your hearing! Isn’t that how it feels? It is the easier part. I believe, this is what we apply to all of our senses, like intuition, awareness, the “healing tube”, and so on-including the Astral body awareness, as well as the other bodies Emotional or Star Core, also our Multidimensionality.
Here are my suggestions about Astral “flights:
1.“ Just move by thought”;
2. If lost ,or feeling you can not awake or move- it means you are not completely back in your body = “Just think- back into body ____(your name)”;
3. If you want to travel far =“ Just imagine the place you want to visit”
4. “Just imagine person you want to visit”- is efficient in healings.
Note: Many people believe they are in some state of paralysis, while –just coming back from the astral travel, so I believe, and = “Just think- back into body” can help.
It’s all about moving with your thought.
When I was younger I use to do “Astral meditations”.
Here it goes: (it can be done during suny days, and sunsets)
Sit infront of the window (if it’s not safe to go outside);
Make your self comfortable.Look at sky- find a beautiful cloud,
Obsereve it for awhile.Set your intent to fly mentaly into this cloud.Relaxe.Focus on all details : how are you feel your body beging lighter, then your flowing out of the house, who/what you can meet on the way (a couple of birds, maybe); go, let your mind go there-until yo are siting “in this cloud”. Feel with all your senses , the smell, colours, the touch of cloud on skin, what you hear up there, how do you feel…Then, slowly come back to your room and body.
Once you excperianse this in awaken state of meditation, it will be much easier to fly in your sleep.
This is really good for expanding and focus.
You can also try this “LOOK AT HANDS” exercise (although it can be used for problem solving and Karma Cleansing) good old one :
Prepare a fresh glass of water.
Wash your hands carefully. Dry them as well.
Then, install yourself in your favorite room
of your house. Put the water close to you. Sit in front of a table, and get comfortable.
Keep just a minimum of lights, pull out the curtains
or close your shutters, in evening use candle light.
Lay your hands flat on the table, in front of you.
Relax yourself.
Relax all parts of your body, let yourself go by
mentally counting up to 10, then slowly close your eyes.
Count up to 5.
Then turn up your palms, by putting them down slowly on the table.
Think for a brief moment about your main problem, without
too many details.
Then dismiss it from your mind, and
carefully listen to the noises that surround you :
first the closest ones, then the noises that sounds far from you.
Keep the same position and your eyes closed,
let your thoughts and your imagination digress,
don’t think and don’t stop at any detail,
as if your brains was on vacation.
Count slowly up to 30.
Then, open your eyes, stare at the palms of your hands
until you feel that your concentration is decreasing.
Only at that moment listen again to the noises around you,
starting this time with the noises in the distance, and finishing
by the closest ones.
Close your eyes again (by counting from 1 up to 15).
Represent yourself the room in which you are
without getting precise.
Open your eyes again, stay perfectly
still (counting from 1 up to 10).
Turn over your hands, palms on the table,
and move slowly your fingers, one by one, and do this three times.
Raise your hands a little, by moving them around your wrists.
Then, drink all the water that is in the glass
you’ll have the precaution to put next to you
BEFORE exercise.
Just go back slowly to the world
that surrounds you, and be sure in the next hours
to avoid any tension, argument, any violent effort.
Anything that precedes, you must do it
without thinking, without making any effort.
Your mind must remain as relaxed as your body.
During the period in which you‘ll exercise,
It is best to observe and write down all of your
impressions, all of your feelings and dreams,
anything that seems unusual,
special or different from your every day life,
including your relationships with your family...
(NOTE: the numbers here are like time- to measure change.
You can use any different numbers as you like.).
Paul, don’t you think that this places and people you visit can be…perhaps your family&friends in other dimensions?
I have about 5 places which I visit, from time to time. I believe some of the people there could be my Guides, or at other place my Healers…but, at some places nothing special happens in my dream/visit, we just talk -I thought this maybe –my other dimension friends. I’m not sure. What do you think?
Loving hugs,
Tamara
